Director of Operations gets “Locked Up” for MDA

The MDA Great Lakes Lock Up is a great charity event where participants network with fellow organizations and businesses from Midland, Saginaw and Bay County that are all spending time in “jail”.

At the Lock-Up, jailbirds will appear before a “judge”, have their “mug shot” taken and served a great lunch.  While participants serve time in jail, they are encouraged to network with other jailbirds and call friends and associates to collect any last minute donations.  While jailbirds are only “locked up” for one hour, the loss of mobility that occurs when muscles stop working — and the limitations on freedom and independence that can cause — are for life.

Compassionate Care’s Director of Operations has been issued a warrant! Jody’s bail has been set at $2,000 to sponsor one child age 6-17 years old to MDA Summer Camp here in Greater Michigan. There is no cost for the family to send the child to camp.

Jody will turn herself in on February 15th to serve “time.” In an effort to help meet the $2000 “bail” goal, Compassionate Care is holding a bake sale on Monday February 13th. Stop by the Mid Michigan office between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. All items will be a free-will donation, pay what you can! The office is located at 6165 Bay Road, Suite B, Saginaw, MI 48604.

For those not able to attend the bake sale, please consider making an online donation.
