Michigan In-Home Diabetes Care Print E-mail

We provide in-home care for Michigan residents with diabetes. Compassionate Care Caregivers are trained to assist diabetic patients with insulin injections and blood sugar checks. Each caregiver is aware of the specific diet requirements of the patient so they will be able to prepare a healthy and safe meal. Caregivers are also trained to watch for signs and symptoms of drops or raises in blood sugar levels.

Why is Diabetes Care Important?

16 million people in America have diabetes and it is the fourth leading cause of death by disease. There are 3 primary types of diabetes. 90% of those affected have what is known as Type 2 diabetes. This is the type that most often affects older adults and is seen in 18% of those over the age of 65. Some people with Type 2 diabetes must take injections of insulin every day, while others are managed with oral medications. Every case of diabetes is serious and should be treated as such.
