Rates vary depending on each person’s individual needs and location. Please contact us for a complimentary in-home consultation to obtain pricing for your particular needs.

What kind of training do your caregivers receive?

Upon hire, all of our care staff participate in a mandatory three-hour orientation. Ongoing training includes:

  • Monthly in-services. Monthly in-services cover topics such as diagnosis-specific trainings, confidentiality, and more.
  • Quarterly in-services. Quarterly in-services are centered on providing disease-specific training and information.
  • Mandatory annual in-services. Annual in-services provide in-depth information on topics such as blood borne pathogens, HIPAA, and other industry and care specific subjects that are selected based on feedback from clients, caregivers, and payer sources.
Are your services available in nursing homes or assisted living facilities?

Yes, depending on the payer source. The MI Choice Waiver Program (Medicaid) and VA will not allow us to provide services if not in the client’s personal home. However, private pay clients can receive services wherever they are residing – home, nursing home, hospital, or assisted living.

If you notice a decline in a loved one’s ability to care for himself/herself, such as loss of weight, unkempt/unclean clothing, not bathing or brushing teeth, missing appointments, forgetting to take medications, not eating, decline in housekeeping, unpaid bills and unopened mail piling up, home care can help. Michigan does not issue a license for private duty home care agencies. However, we adhere to the most stringent standards for hiring and training our care team, and ours is a nurse-led company. Our CEO, Laura Alexander, is a Registered Nurse.

What makes Compassionate Care Home Health Services different from other in-home care companies?
  • We carefully and thoughtfully match caregivers with our clients. If a client ever feels that a particular caregiver is not a good match, we listen and work to make a better-suited match based on the client’s feedback.
  • We strive to keep the same caregivers in the home when appropriate, to ensure continuity of care and client comfort.
  • We’ve also developed several diagnosis-specific programs to help reduce hospitalizations and readmissions. We started tracking hospitalizations and readmissions in 2015. This is something almost no other agency in our area has done.

What are the advantages of home care?
  • Home care allows individuals to remain in the comfort of the place they call home.
  • Home care also provides assurance to families, case managers, and physicians that older adults are safe and receiving the necessary care to remain independent, and helps reduce hospitalizations and readmissions.

Who can receive in-home care?

In-home care is available to any individual who is in need of care. We provide services to children as well as adults. Our clients include seniors who need a little extra assistance in their home, as well as individuals recovering from car accidents or those who were injured in work-place accidents. Contact us online or call us at 877.308.1212 to see if home care is right for you or a loved one.

Will I be able to reach someone at your agency after hours and how should I do so?

There is an on-call supervisor who is available in case of emergencies after hours, on weekends, and on holidays. Simply call the main number for your office and a menu of options will be provided. Select the option that will allow you to speak to a supervisor immediately.

What if my caregiver is sick and cannot make it to my house?

Caregivers, like all of us, experience illness and emergencies, and take time off for vacations. In the event your assigned caregiver is unavailable, we will find a replacement caregiver to cover the shift or contact you to discuss alternative options.
