Passionate Caregiver Honorees Print E-mail

Four times a year, we recognize a Compassionate Care employee for exemplary customer service and performance.

Deb MWinter 2012 Honoree: Deb, CENA

Deb's History: Deb has been providing care since she was 19 years old. At the time, her sister seemed to be enjoying her time in nursing school. This prompted Deb to begin volunteering at the local nursing home. She has worked AFC homes and nursing homes, but her passion lies in home care. Deb has worked for Compassionate Care’s Traverse City Office for almost 6 years. “You guys are always sending me nice Thank you cards and creative certificates of appreciation, not all places I’ve worked do that! It’s nice to know you guys appreciate the quality care we provide to our clients!” When Deb is not working she enjoys fishing (when the salmon are “running” you can always find Deb at the river), camping, having a good laugh/joking around and spending time with her family.

A Personal Message from Deb: “I enjoy doing home care because of the one-on-one attention I can provide to my clients. They deserve to have someone who has the time to listen to their dreams and stories, not like in a facility where a caregiver has a limited amount of time to care for multiple clients at once. In the home care setting I can take my time to listen to how they are feeling and pay close attention to their personal preferences. I truly enjoy getting to know my clients and hearing stories about their past and gleaning bits of history from each one. It is personally gratifying when you can assist in keeping a client comfortable in their own home. I find it rewarding to provide a service that gives the family an opportunity to spend quality family time with their loved one instead of them concerning themselves with the details of their loved one’s care.”

Jacquelyn Fall 2011 Honoree

Fall 2011 Honoree: Jacquelyn, CENA

Jacquelyn's History: Jacquelyn has been providing quality care for Compassionate Care since August of 2008. This Certified Nursing Assistant is currently attending Baker College for nursing. Jacquelyn joined the United States Army Reserves in 2007 and completed a tour in Kuwait and Iraq. When Jacquelyn finds free time, she enjoys hunting, fishing, dancing, and mud bogging.

A Personal Message from Jacquelyn: “Having the ability to live comfortably in your own home is a blessing. Having people who can give proper and loving care is a miracle. I love knowing that I am capable of providing both of these services to a deserving individual. I give every client the attention and compassion that I would give my own family. Our clients put their care into my hands, trusting and knowing I am going to give them the care required. I could never deny any client care, nor would I leave them alone because someone decided they didn’t want to work today. I truly care about my clients and their needs. My devotion and work ethic is based off my morals and values of respect, integrity, selfless service, and dignity. Everyone deserves compassionate care.”
